Consultation Services for Therapists

As a seasoned therapist and supervisor, I offer specialized consultation sessions designed to empower and enhance the skills of fellow therapists. I provide consultation to licensed therapists as well as healers and counselors outside of licensed practice.

With over two decades of experience as a licensed therapist and over 10 years of experience as a supervisor to MFT associates, I have a deep understanding of the many challenges therapists face. We all struggle with burnout, vicarious trauma, deepening the work, expanding our skill base without breaking the bank, managing frame issues, parental leave and juggling the business part of our work.

I have had to navigate each of these obstacles, as well as others and have managed to develop a practice that is satisfying, financially sustaining, effective and restorative. Together we can help you build on the sweet spots in your practice and to create more resilience, skill and capacity.

Consultation services are personalized one-on-one sessions tailored to your unique needs and level of expertise. We will dig into specific cases as well as ongoing themes to explore transference/counter-transference, ethical considerations, and therapeutic strategies.

Consultations can be arranged on a regular or as-needed option. You may also want to form a small group or split the session with a colleague.

Specialties

  • Extensive Somatic Training:

Benefit from insights and techniques gained through years of practical experience in the field. (Hakomi, Relational Somatic Healing, Bill Bowen’s psycho-biomechanics, Somatica, massage, eco-psychology, meditation and yoga.)

  • Extensive Couples Therapy Training:

I offer over two decades or experience using EFT, PACT, RLT as well as my own eclectic approach honed over years of seeing couples.

  • Parenting as a therapist:

It’s such a shift to become a parent as a therapist. Or maybe you were already a parent before becoming a therapist. Either way, there is something unique about the way we are affected by being both parents and therapists. In my experience it has been a gift in the ability to understand the nuance of clients who are also parents. However, it has also sometimes held me back from doing the work I want to do with clients because of the inevitable time, money and energy constraints of parenthood. I love mentoring other therapist parents in juggling all the emotional, logistical and relational material that comes up as we figure out how to expand our love, care and wisdom to be present for ourselves, our families and our clients.

  • Social Justice/Anti-Racist Lens:

I have been in consultation and in anti-racist/decolonizing groups for several years. Throughout my life, I have educated myself and been active politically to work for equality, justice and liberation. My practice is diverse and I continue to humbly do the work as a white, queer, thin, cis-gendered, able-bodied middle-class woman with three children in a blended family.
